Advanced contact lenses, created without a power source, can transform long wavelengths into visible light. They operate similarly to night-vision goggles but in a compact form, enabling wearers to see both ordinary and modified infrared signals. These lenses, developed by Professor Tian Xue, use nanoparticles to convert infrared light to visible light. When tested on mice, the improved vision was indicated by their behavior. The technology could potentially offer enhanced vision capabilities to humans in the future.
