Two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington were shot and killed after leaving a Jewish museum event, with the suspect shouting "Free, free Palestine" upon arrest. This led to increased security measures at Israeli missions. The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were a couple intending to get engaged. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, opened fire outside the museum before being arrested, sparking condemnations of the antisemitic attack and calls for its end.
